NHL commissioner Gary Bettman revealed the league’s 24-playoff plan on Tuesday. Bettman said the 2019-20 regular season is officially over and announced the 24 teams in the “playoffs.”
Jamie Benn is confused, like all of us, though. The Dallas Stars’ captain took to Twitter to ask his followers when he should start growing his playoff beard.
Do I start growing a playoff beard now or how does this work?

Uhhhhhhh.
Okay, let’s talk this through. The Stars are the number four seed in the Western Conference so they are a guaranteed playoff team right now.
Commissioner Bettman covered a lot of ground in today's announcement. But most importantly, we've got a Top 4 seed and a guaranteed playoff spot 😏

But with the coronavirus pandemic still going on, there’s no guarantee the NHL will actually be able to complete its season. Then, judging by Gary Bettman’s training camp comments, the playoffs won’t start, at the earliest, until late July or early August.
So if you ask me, I think we’re still in the quarantine beard phase, Jamie. What do you think?
