PK Subban will be hosting a new game show as the NHL tries to engage fans during the coronavirus pandemic. The show is entitled Hat Trick Trivia.
Subban will quiz each contestant with three hockey-related questions for the opportunity to win prizes. According to the NHL, the contestants in the debut episode include a St. Louis police officer and a New Jersey paramedic currently on the front lines in the fight against coronavirus, with a special appearance by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pat Maroon.
The game show will premiere on Saturday, April 11, and air on the NHL’s YouTube at 12:30 PM.

NHL players and celebrities will be featured in the show.
“With the NHL season on pause, as our society works to combat COVID-19, our hope is that this show will provide fans with a sense of community, knowledge, and of course a lot of entertainment until we can all get on the ice once again,” Subban said. “I’m looking forward to fans experiencing this show with us.”
“This show is just one of the many ways in which we’re trying to entertain hockey fans during our pause,” said NHL Chief Content Officer Steve Mayer. “P.K. has a great energy for a show like this. We are set to welcome our fans, players and celebrities and have some fun giving away prizes. We hope that we have put together a fun format where the audience can play along.”
Subban initially teased the show in Zoom teleconference with Alex Ovechkin held on March 26.
This isn’t the first time Subban has participated in a show to entertain fans. In January 2019, Subban hosted PK Subban’s All-Star Special, an hour-long standup special featuring skits and jokes.
Subban also participated in The PK Project, where he gave fans a behind-the-scenes look in his life.
