The NHL announced Tuesday afternoon that a third Colorado Avalanche player has tested positive for COVID-19.
The statement read, “The Colorado Avalanche were advised this morning that a third player has tested positive for COVID-19. The player is in self-isolation and has not had close contact with any other Avalanche players or staff members.”

Eight NHL players overall have tested positive for coronavirus in the NHL including five on the Ottawa Senators.
