With the NHL suspended due to the coronavirus, former Capitals defenseman Mike Green has been more active on social media lately.
Last week, Green shared what his favorite tattoos are.
Green first entered the league in 2005 as a chubby-cheeked, slick-skating rearguard that had no noticeable tattoos. Now, Greener has a full sleeve on his left arm and several tattoos on his right.
“My favorite tattoos are on my hands,” Green said. “The Roman numerals above my left thumb are the month/day/year Courtney and I met. ‘Fior Gra’ are across my left knuckles and means ‘true love.’ Abbreviation ‘AB’ is Alberta where I’m from. ‘Silence” above my left knuckles is a reminder to silence the mind and follow your inner knowing. ‘No52’ above silence left wrist is my hockey number from my days with @capitals.”
