Tom Wilson declares it ‘puppy time’ after NHL suspends season due to coronavirus

The Washington Capitals were supposed to play the Detroit Red Wings at Capital One Arena on Thursday night. Instead, the players are now grappling with an indefinite stop to their season as the coronavirus continues to spread across North America.

One player perfectly suited for this extended break is new doggy dad Tom Wilson. Wilson and his girlfriend Taylor Pischke recently adopted a rescue pup, Halle.

While Wilson found the pausing of all the major sports leagues “tough news”, he looked forward to spending a lot of time with his new eight-week-old black lab mix.

Yes, Tom, please continue posting content like this. The blogs need it.

Meanwhile, Nastya Ovechkina wrote a personal message on her Instagram hoping fans stay healthy but revealing that she was a little rattled by the situation.

“In America, they have suspended the NHL season, they’ve emptied the stores of toilet paper, canned goods, and grains! Sanitizing wipes and liquids are already [out of stock]!” Nastya wrote as translated by Igor Kleyner (Thanks, Nikita!). “Overall, panic is growing every day! I’m hoping that this nightmare will end soon! 🙏 #stayhealthy”

Meanwhile, Leni Oshie is continuing to live her best life.

And Connor McMichael is all of us.
