A week after becoming the eighth player ever to hit 700 goals, Alex Ovechkin took to Instagram to thank literally everyone in his life, including fans for their support.
“Thanks to my family, my boys, trainers, coaches and Caps staff for helping me to this point. Huge thx to all fans for always supporting me and our team ❤ #700vi” Ovechkin wrote.
Ovi included five photos and videos in the gallery post.
Forty minutes after publishing, several of Ovechkin’s current and former teammates liked the post including Tom Wilson, Dmitry Orlov, Michal Kempny, Ilya Samsonov, and Devante Smith-Pelly as well as gold medal-winning swimmer Katie Ledecky.
Ovechkin also liked his own post which is very Ovi.
EA Sports commented on the post too simply saying, “🐐.”
