Logan Couture scored in overtime to give the San Jose Sharks a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils Thursday night. The victory ended a five-game losing streak for San Jose.
As Couture celebrated with his teammates, the Sharks put on the captain’s goal song and here’s what played.
That is certainly A Choice. According to the Sharks, Couture made the team “promise to keep it secret until he scored.”

After the game, a giggling Couture explained why he went with the 80’s pop hit by Cyndi Lauper, crediting his girlfriend.
“I mean, we were kind of fooling around and trying to pick a song and that was the first song she said so we stuck with her,” Couture said.

As a Canadian, Couture knows that sometimes the strangest picks end up being the best picks.
