With a blistering four-point night against the Buffalo Sabres, Colorado Avalanche forward Andre Burakovsky has hit a new single-season high in points.
You remember Burakovsky, right? You didn’t, uh, forget about Dre?
Burakovsky, 24, has seen a big increase in ice time since he arrived in Colorado, and now on a line with Nazem Kadri (formerly of the Leafs) and Valeri Nichushkin (formerly of the Stars), he’s finally lighting up the boxcar stats. Burakovsky has four goals and six assists in his last four games, a streak capped off by his first-ever four-point night on Tuesday.
When asked after the game what went right for him, Burakovsky told Altitude TV, “I don’t know. My linemates were scoring when I passed to them. That’s about it.”

He’s so pure.
Here are those goals:
Point 1: A pretty wristshot goal
Point 2: secondary assist on Kadri’s goal
Point 3: Big playmaking to set up Zadorov
Point 4: Bump pass to Nichushkin
Burakovsky now has 39 points, one more than his previous best from 2015-16. He has also tied his career-best in single-season goals with months left to play. Funny how much a simple change of scenery can help.
