Old Bay Hot Sauce being launched by Maryland-based spice company McCormick on Wednesday

There’s been Old Bay beer, Old Bay crabcakes, Old Bay ice cream, and Old Bay cheese (at least at my local farmer’s market).

And today, McCormick, the company behind the wildly popular Maryland spice, is releasing its newest limited-edition creation: Old Bay Hot Sauce.

It appears the Old Bay Hot Sauce will only be available on the oldbay.com website for a limited time.

This is how McCormick described the taste:

The iconic flavor of Old Bay, now in a hot sauce! Tangy with a kick of heat and Old Bay’s unique blend of herbs and spices, it makes all kinds of food all kinds of awesome.

“Bringing the heat to iconic flavor,” wrote McCormick on their website.

McCormick held a launch party at Nalley Fresh for the hot sauce on Tuesday which included one of the Ravens’ mascots.

McCormick will officially announce when the hot sauce is available on Twitter Wednesday morning.

Are you buying? I will be.

1 PM Update: The Old Bay Hot Sauce sold out in less than an hour online.

McCormick plans to re-stock as the hot sauce is selling for huge margins (the lowest prices are around $50) on eBay.
