Tomas Hertl had one of the most fun moments early in the NHL’s All-Star Skills Competition on Friday.
Hertl donned a Justin Bieber mask when he attempted to score on a breakaway attempt against St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington.
As Hertl approached the net, he fell over and nearly lost control of the puck but still managed to get a difficult shot on net. Binnington made the save and ultimately won the Save Streak competition after making 10-straight stops.
Hertl’s Bieber mask was in reference to a bet Binnington made with the Grammy Award-winning artist.

“10 breakaways me vs. you,” Binnington posted to Bieber’s Instagram account. “You score on me I’ll dye my hair platinum blonde.”
Binnington made the challenge to Bieber after he went viral scoring this goal playing pickup.
“How bout 10 thousand dollars to charity I score and you donate to a charity of my choice and we film it,” Bieber responded.
According to the NHL, the date of the challenge has yet to be determined, but it will happen. The NHL tried to get the two players to do it during All-Star Weekend but they could not work out a deal.
