Evgeny Kuznetsov missed Washington Capitals’ practice on Saturday due to illness.
This is not to be confused with illin, which is what Kuzy was doing last night against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Washington Post’s Samathana Pell first reported the news on Twitter.
Kuznetsov is ill and not practicing today, according to the team. https://t.co/xfRFbK9MqT

The lines went mostly unchanged beyond Lars Eller bumping up to the second line and Travis Boyd slotting into the third. Jakub Vrana practiced in Kuznetsov’s spot during powerplay drills.

Kuznetsov had a goal and an assist during the Capitals’ 4-3 win over the Canes last night, which included a nice selfie during wamrups and some strong words about Ilya Samsonov after the game.
The Capitals’ next match up with the San Jose Sharks on Sunday at 12:30 PM. So if he’s going to play, he’s going to need to make a quick recovery.
