The Washington Capitals celebrated Christmas on Wednesday the same way we all did – with gifts, extravagant meals (that may or may not involve the President of the United States), and special holiday attire.

After dining with the POTUS, Ovechkin spent the day at the beach on the Florida coast. Before taking the sand, Ovechkin, his wife Nastya, and baby Sergei — dressed as an elf — took a photo inside their condominium complex.

Capitals defenseman John Carlson shared a photo of his two sons, Lucca and Rudy, gathering by the Christmas tree. “Thankful for my family on this special day,” said Carlson.

Speedy Swede Carl Hagelin posted a photo from the Capitals’ final home game before the break where Garnet Hathaway, Jakub Vrana, Jonas Siegenthaler, and himself rock ugly holiday suits.
John Carlson chimed in with an inside joke after noticing that only Jakub Vrana was tagged in the photo.

Michal Kempny spent Christmas with his lovely and longtime girlfriend, Nicola. He shared an Instagram photo of himself popping open a bottle of wine before dinner.

Nick Jensen and his beautiful wife Jenner took a photo with their pup. “Merry Christmas from the 3.5 of us ❤️,” Jenner wrote, in anticipation of their new baby coming in the winter.
Nick also posted an adorable video of their dog opening a Christmas gift.
Hershey Bears defenseman Christian Djoos went up to New York City and spent the Christmas holiday with several of his teammates. In the Instagram above, he’s snapped on an ice rink with his girlfriend Ebba.
AJF explored NYC too with a swatch of his Bears teammates.
Liam O’Brien traveled back to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to spend the holiday with his family.
