TJ Oshie is a man of many talents. And Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Oshie used his soft hands to score a nifty wraparound goal late in the third period. From his knees.
The goal gives the Osh Babe three tallies in his last two games. It officially put the game out of reach for Tampa.

The goal was set up by a great zone entry Jakub Vrana. The Czech winger found Oshie on the right-wing with a perfect lateral pass. As Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev reached, Oshie teached.
Osh ducked his shoulder, skated the puck behind the net, and beat Andrei Vasilevskiy’s skate to the far post for the goal as he fell to the ice. The tally came a minute after the Lightning made it a one-goal game.
To celebrate, Oshie did a tandem goal celly that he invented with Jakub Vrana last month at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Wonder twins activate!

RMNB’s Elizabeth Kong originally captured the first iteration of the celly on video at a November practice.

Vrana later commented on his Twitter account that he hoped the celly would happen “maybe one day.”
Tonight it finally did.
Oshie now has 14 goals on the season. He’s scored five points in two games against the Lightning.
T.J. Oshie scores his 14th goal of the season to give the Capitals a two-goal lead. Oshie has scored three goals in his last two games. Since joining the Capitals in 2015-16, Oshie has recorded 116 goals, which ranks second on the team (Ovechkin: 204).
