Nic Dowd had an incredible feat of strength on Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
During a post-whistle meeting of the minds, Dowd removed three (!) Blue Jackets players out of the fray… at the same time.

This man already has an incredible amount of Dad Strength. His future baby boy is going to be very spoiled.
Peter said it best on RMNB’s Twitter that night, “Dowd just tugboated three large adult sons away from the scrum.”
The play is reminiscent of a Jets-Golden Knights scrum from the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, where Dustin Byfuglien pulled two VGK players out of the scrum and upended several others.
It also reminds me of a hit Tom Wilson once had on the Blue Jackets in 2013. Wilson knocked over three CBJ players at the same time, including injuring defenseman Nikita Nikitin.
But I can’t say I’ve ever seen a player, especially of Dowd’s size, pull three guys out of a scrum at once.
