The Washington Nationals signed Gerardo Parra in May. The fun-loving Parra was only meant to be a reserve outfielder but, by the end of the year, he became an indispensable part of the World Series-winning team.
From his red-tinted Bubly Sparkling Water sunglasses to his Baby Shark walkup song, Parra gave this already ridiculous Nationals team an identity. After every hit, players would do a baby shark chomp that the Nats bench would mimic back. During the World Series, Parra hung a plush Baby Shark toy from the dugout steps for good luck. And at the very end of the Nationals Championship Rally, Parra stuffed a blue Daddy Shark stuffed animal into the Commissioner’s Trophy and held it high in the air in celebration.
Now there’s a Parra Baby Shark bobblehead and WHOOSH! sorry, that sound you just heard is me buying one because this is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.
The Parra bobblehead is made by FOCO and features Ceramic Gerardo cheesing for the camera while wearing his red shades and a Baby Shark headband. Parra holds up the World Series trophy. The base is a beach where Daddy Shark, wearing a Nationals jersey, pops up out of the water holding a World Series branded baseball. It’s just… perfect. I’m also told it’s going quickly so you probably want to get your orders in fast.
There are other Nats’ Shark championship items too. And yes, I will tell you about them.
There is a shark bobblehead holding up the World Series Trophy as well as Shark ornaments for your Christmas Tree.
There are also Nationals’ Shark onesie pajamas. Several sizes of which are already sold out. The top of the pajamas features a teeth hood. The pattern is the Nats’ Shark holding the World Series trophy.
Finally, beyond having bobbles of every Nationals player (and Racing President) holding up the World Series Trophy, FOCO has created a World Series Special Moment Bobblehead Series featuring Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg, Ryan Zimmerman, Juan Soto, and Anthony Rendon. The bobbleheads celebrate the biggest hits and pitches from the World Series. Each bobblehead portrays a member of the Nationals in an action pose, with a miniature World Series trophy next to the player, and a display featuring the player’s name and a backdrop featuring a photo of his memorable moment behind him.
