Alex Ovechkin is back with a new commercial for Papa John’s. And it’s another classic.
According to Papa John’s commercials in the past, Ovi’s childhood dream was to be the best pizza delivery boy in the world, but, in his own words, “I was not good.”
He’d “forget the pizza” or throw pizza boxes onto the porch like a morning newspaper. In other instances, he’d place the pizza boxes on the roof of his car and drive away, leaving them sullied in the road.
Now, Ovi has a new ingenious way to deliver your precious pizza pies.

The commercial begins with a loving couple talking about their dinner options while driving.
“I’m starving. Are you hungry?” the driver asks his significant other.
“I’m starving,” she says.
“Where do you want to eat?” he asks.
“Doesn’t matter. You decide,” she replies.
Then, out of nowhere, Ovechkin pops up out of the backseat of the car and OH MY GOD HE’S HOLDING SOMETHING.
The terrified couple gets in a defensive position and screams in fear.
Ovi yells, “PIZZA’S HERE,” flashing his huge gap-toothed grin for several seconds.
The Ovechkin Special is currently available at Papa John’s. It features a large specialty or up to three-topping pizza plus a two-liter Pepsi product for $15.99
“Looks like I save the day,” Ovechkin said.
