The Washington Nationals and Capitals both partied with Tiësto within 48 hours of respective championship wins

The Washington Nationals continued a tradition started by the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals on Friday when they joined Tiësto at Echostage in DC to celebrate winning the World Series.

Nationals manager Davey Martinez was in attendance, as well as Max Scherzer, Patrick Corbin, Trea Turner, Michael A. Taylor, and Gerardo Parra, to kick off the festivities ahead of the championship parade on Saturday.

Echostage shared another shot of the Nats to Twitter dancing behind Tiësto as he continued his set.

Tiësto introduced the Nationals on stage as the crowd went wild with the surprise appearance from DC’s most recent championship winning team.

If the track sounds familiar, it should. It is the same one that Tiësto played when the Capitals celebrated with him in Las Vegas after winning the Stanley Cup. Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin hoisted the Cup with Tiësto, while “Split (Only U)” pounded in the background.

Let’s hope that this tradition of celebrating DC championships with Tiësto is one that we see repeated again in the near future.
