World Series champion Adam Eaton says Nationals will swim in fountains, asks TJ Oshie to DM him

The Washington Nationals will continue to the Washington Capitals’ championship tradition of swimming in fountains, according to right fielder Adam Eaton.

Wednesday, after the Nationals won the World Series, TJ Oshie posted a map with various locations of fountains in Washington DC.

Adam Eaton was told about Oshie’s tweet in the Nationals’ locker room while celebrating and here’s what he had to say.

“YES!! Aw, my boy, Oshie. Thank you!” Eaton said. “Direct message me or we’ll get ahold of each other because I don’t know if we’ll be able to do it as well because baseball guys are not hockey guys. Those guys are on a different level than we are. But we’re going to try.”

Thursday, after Capitals practice, Oshie re-affirmed that he was very serious about this.

The Nationals championship parade is expected to be held on Saturday.

“I will be hammered at the parade. You just wait,” Eaton said before adding his one wish. “I just hope I can stay on the float.”

The Nationals tweeted the Capitals, seeming to indicate they have something planned.

Here’s a perfect shirt they could wear for the occasion.
