Andre Burakovsky scores game-winning goal for Avalanche in second consecutive game

Don’t look now, but Andre Burakovsky is on a tear with the Colorado Avalanche.

On Saturday, Burakovsky scored the sudden death goal in three-on-three overtime to give the Avs the 3-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes.

It’s Burakovsky’s second consecutive game-winning goal.

I would describe this in detail, but there’s not much to say. Burakovsky took the puck at the left circle. Then, unguarded, he drove to the net where he released a wrist shot from feet away. The puck lifted over Antti Raanta’s shoulder and hit the back of the net. Game over.

Burakovsky skated on the Avalanche’s second line with Joonas Donskoi and Nazem Kadri.

The Avalanche are undefeated (4-0-0) so far this season and lead the Central Division. They join the Edmonton Oilers as the only undefeated (5-0-0) teams in the NHL.

The Avalanche play the Washington Capitals in DC on Monday. It’ll mark Burakovsky’s first game against his former team.

RMNB is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHLPA, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
