Sidney Crosby fights Blue Jackets’ Pierre-Luc Dubois

Sidney Crosby got in his eighth career NHL fight on Saturday with Columbus Blue Jackets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Crosby was Dubois’s idol growing up making the bout even more confusing.

The two threw hands after Dubois landed a high head hit on Jake Guentzel along the boards. Crosby slashed Dubois’s stick, letting PLD know this was not appreciated. Dubois responded with a cross-check. The two exchanged shoves and HERE WE GO.

The two players exchanged only a handful of punches before the skirmish was broken up by officials. The fight was a draw.

This isn’t the only time Crosby’s gotten into a fight where he’s been the first to drop his gloves and use his low center of gravity against a bigger opponent. He did the same thing against Tyler Johnson of the Tampa Bay Lightning in February.

Crosby has also gotten into a fight with TJ Oshie after Braden Holtby was jabbed with a stick by Patric Hornqvist.

Here’s are several other fights Crosby has had in his career.
