Capitals defenseman Christian Djoos has also filed for arbitration to determine his salary for next season.
Djoos joins Chandler Stephenson who also opted not to accept the Capitals qualifying offer.
The Swedish defenseman played 45 games with the Capitals last season, missing several months of the season after suffering compartment syndrome in his left thigh.
According to the NHLPA, the deadline for Club-Elected Salary Arbitration notification is July 6, 2019 at 5 pm. Salary Arbitration hearings will be held in Toronto from July 20 to Aug. 4, 2019.
