SNL cast member Kenan Thompson hosted the NHL Awards and he did a tremendous job.
His best moment was arguably when he roasted the Tampa Bay Lightning.

“Shout out to my Tampa folks,” Thompson said. “That’s right, they tied the most wins in the regular season with 62. And then they followed it up by tying with the least wins in the playoffs with ZERO.
“But hey, hey. That’s what I like about them. Win or lose, they set records.”
Air traffic control to Kenan Thompson: this joke landed.
Nikita Kucherov, Victor Hedman, and head coach Jon Cooper all laughed but in that pained way that makes you feel sorry for them. Meanwhile, this joke way too soon for Vasilevskiy who looked on with an icy stare that makes me want to padlock my doors.
The Lightning were swept by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round of the playoffs after winning the Presidents’ Trophy as the league’s best regular-season team.
In the end, the Lightning got the last laugh in Las Vegas. Kucherov won the Hart, Lindsay, and Art Ross Trophies while Vasilevskiy won the Vezina Trophy as best goalie.
But they clearly have some unfinished business next season.
