Blues’ Ryan O’Reilly buys guitar for rival fan ahead of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final

The St. Louis Blues acquired center Ryan O’Reilly in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres last summer, and since then he’s endeared himself to his teammates with his work ethic, his fans with his on-ice performance, and now one “conflicted” Bruins fan in Boston.

John Corrado tweeted Tuesday evening that “Ryan O’Rielly bought me a guitar while seshing at guitar center in Boston,” including pictures.

He even had the receipt to prove it.

O’Reilly’s played guitar since he was a teenager and still uses it as a way to unwind and get his mind off hockey.

Buying instruments is certainly one way to win over an opposing fanbase–not the most time-efficient, and a tad pricey, but it seems to be getting results.
