Right winger Brett Connolly will miss Saturday night’s match-up against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He is the fourth Capitals player to miss playing time due to illness recently after Carl Hagelin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and TJ Oshie.
Connolly missed the morning skate and head coach Todd Reirden said he would be a game-time decision.

Andre Burakovsky will take Connolly’s place on the third line, centered by Lars Eller.
As Bren Raby points out, Connolly was one of only three players on the injury-laden Capitals roster who has a chance to play all 82 regular season games.
Brett Connolly has played all 78 games so far this season. If he can’t go tonight, #ALLCAPS 2018-19 Ironman list would be down to Vrana and Orlov https://t.co/sxMJR8z9i2
