Like a band on tour, the Caps flu bug has landed at its latest venue: Brett Connolly’s body.
Connolly missed the Capitals’ morning skate on Saturday and will be a game-time decision against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Conno is the fourth Caps player to miss time due to this illness including Carl Hagelin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and TJ Oshie. Hagelin and Oshie both missed games.
Caps expected lineup:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Wilson
Vrana-Kuznetsov-Oshie
Hagelin-Eller-Burakovsky
Stephenson-Dowd-BoydDjoos-Carlson
Orlov-Niskanen
Orpik-JensenHoltby to start

Andre Burakovsky replaced Connolly on the third line while Carl Hagelin flanked Lars Eller on the left wing.
Connolly is one of six Capitals players who have scored over 20 goals, lighting the lamp 22 times this season.
After being an infrequent scratch, the third-line forward has played in every game this season.
Brett Connolly has played all 78 games so far this season. If he can’t go tonight, #ALLCAPS 2018-19 Ironman list would be down to Vrana and Orlov https://t.co/sxMJR8z9i2
