Hardworking sniper Jakub Vrana just hit the 20-goal mark for the first time in his career, but he appears hungry for more goals.
Monday after practice, The Legend threw on Pheonix Copley’s goalie mask and worked with the team’s defensemen on deflections.
Safety first, y’all.
The tip drill was captured by RMNB readers @otto_min and @ktrestorehope who attended practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

Vrana made several impressive tips.
And then he took one off his Vrana. OH NO.
But Jake got right back in there seconds later like the champion he is.
Vrana is one of several top scorers on the Capitals to become a makeshift goalie, joining Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alex Ovechkin in the crease. Nate Schmidt also jokingly served as “Associate Goalie Coach” during his time with Washington. Don’t believe me? Here’s his business card.
