Blue Jackets believe Ryan Dzingel’s ‘lucky duck’ has special goal-scoring powers

The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired Ryan Dzingel at the trade deadline. While CBJ acquired a three-time 20-goal scorer, they also unknowingly acquired his “lucky duck” too, which purportedly has Jobu-like powers.

For instance, after rubbing the duck before Tuesday’s game, both Dzingel and Zach Werenski scored in Columbus’s game against the Boston Bruins.

The Blue Jackets won 7-4.

Dzingel’s lucky duck came to light after a tweet from the Dispatch Alerts’ Brian Hedger.

Phrasing.

Hedger later followed up with more description surrounding this tweet, stating that the rubber duck currently lives in Werenski’s locker.

Cam Atkinson, who is having a career season already, said he is going to touch the lucky duck before their next game. We’ll see if the luck continues.
