Capitals 2015 first round pick Ilya Samsonov has hit his stride in Hershey. He’s got two shutouts and 15 wins, and has helped the Bears set a new franchise record point streak.
Earlier in the season, Samsonov debuted a Capitals-themed bucket during the NHPLA’s rookie showcase.
Dave Gunnarsson is back at it again with the airbrush, and designed a new Hershey Bears themed helmet for Samsonov.

The helmet, dubbed “The Hershey Mask,” has what Gunnarsson calls a 2-in-1 design.
From far away, it appears simple, with “Hershey” scrawled in brown and silver cursive on the left and right side, while one large brown bear is featured on the crown, along with Samsonov’s new number 35 on the chin.
Close up, the features include a honeycomb detail within some of the artwork, including the “Hershey” and the mouth of a brown bear, and it also has silver and gold glitter paint to add more sparkle.
The Bears posted their own photos of the helmet to Instagram, including a closeup of the crown to show the gold detailing.
