The Green Turtle in Capital One Arena will officially be shutting its doors on April 9th, when the Washington Wizards’ regular season comes to an end.
After 12 years, the location will become home to a new joint called “The Shell Raiser Lounge.”
Inbox: @TheGreeneTurtle at Capital One Arena will close on April 9, the final #Wizards home game and will reopen as "The Shell Raiser Lounge" for #Caps postseason games.
The restaurant won't reopen for the 2019-2020 seasons.

The Greene Turtle still had three years left on its lease, but officially accepted a lease buyout to leave the arena. So, what’s the plan? Well, Monumental Sports and Entertainment plans to build a “proprietary business concept” in the place of The Greene Turtle.
The Washington Times reported that during the postseason The Shell Raiser Lounge will be open during home games and serve food and drinks in an open gathering space. After that, it will fully vacate while remaining one of Monumental’s advertising partners.
If you ask me, it smells like a sportsbook might be on the horizon.
