In just his fourth game as a Boston Bruin, ex-Cap Marcus Johansson has been injured. Facing the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night, Johansson collided hard with Micheal Ferland and fell to the ice.

The hit came in Johansson’s second shift of the game. Johansson carried the puck across the blue line and then ran into Ferland (wearing Hartford Whalers green).
The hit appears shoulder-to-shoulder, and there was no penalty on the play. Another look:
Johansson was aided on the ice by Boston’s athletic trainer and removed from the game. He had played under a minute.

After the game, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy announced that Johansson went to the hospital.
Bruce Cassidy on Marcus Johansson (upper body): "He went to the hospital…it looks encouraging, but I don't want to speak out of turn. When tests are done we'll have a better answer."

Johansson has a lengthy injury history, including two concussions in the last two seasons, costing him all but 29 games in 2017-18. A deadline pickup for the Bruins, Johansson has recorded one assist since joining the team.
