During the Capitals’ trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame on Wednesday, captain Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, Brooks Orpik, Tom Wilson and Braden Holtby were approached by a group of kids hoping for a photograph with the Stanley Cup champions.
There was just one problem.
One of them was wearing a Sidney Crosby beanie.
A kid wearing a Sidney Crosby beanie asks to take a photo with Caps players. Orpik tells him to take off the hat. Ovechkin just pulls it off his head before the photo 😂

Orpik — who played with Crosby in Pittsburgh before joining the Capitals in 2014 — was the first to protest the kid’s choice of headwear.

Ovi, however, made the smart move and removed the offending item right before taking the photo.
