A night after an embarrassing defeat to the Anaheim Ducks, the Washington Capitals bounced back and hung on to beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2.
The Kings out-shot the Caps 28 to 21.
Brett Connolly scores to give the Caps a 2-0 lead. That goal came 20 seconds after Ovechkin's opening tally, the quickest back-to-back goals the Capitals have scored this season (previously 21 seconds: Oct. 4, 2018 at Pittsburgh).
