In breaking KHL news Tuesday, goaltender Jakub Stepanek was suspended five games.
The reason? After a heated exchange, the frustrated HC Slovan Bratislava netminder shot a broken stick at an official.

Yeah, um, you definitely can’t do that.
Stepanek was immediately tossed and given a game misconduct for using his stick as a weapon.
Stepanek’s suspension will cover HC Slovan’s final two games of the 2018-19 season. For those two games, HC Slovan can only have one goalie available to them: 18-year-old Michal Vojvoda.
