Djoos made his return from compartment syndrome surgery on Saturday and clearly, Backstrom is happy to have his fellow Swede back.
Backstrom’s affinity for the quiet Swede is well known. The two players shared time together with the Stanley Cup together during the summer. Backstrom, jokingly, credited Djoos for the Caps’ championship. βYou said it before. It was clearly the Djoos Effect!β
