Tuesday night, the State of the Union address will be taking place at the same time as the Capitals take on the Vancouver Canucks at Capital One Arena.
President Trump’s speech will affect traffic near the arena with a variety of road closures and restricted parking.
Per Capitol Police, beginning at 7pm, the following streets will be closed to traffic:
Pennsylvania Ave. NW, from Third St. NW to First Street NW
Constitution Ave. NW, from Louisiana Ave. NW, to Second St. NE
First St. NW, from Louisiana Ave. NW to Washington Ave. SW
New Jersey Ave. NW, from Louisiana Ave. NW to Constitution Ave. NW
D St. NE, from Second St. NE, to Louisiana Ave. NE
Delaware Ave. NE from Columbus Circle NE to Constitution Ave. NE
First St. NE, from Columbus Circle NE to C St. SW
C St. NE, from Second Street NE to Delaware Ave. NE
Maryland Ave. NE, from Constitution Ave. NE to First St. NE
Second St. NE, from Constitution Ave. NE to East Capitol St. NE
East Capitol St., from Second Street NE to First St. NE
Independence Ave., from Second St. SE to Washington Ave. SW
C St. SW, from Washington Ave. SW to First Street SE
