The Capitals and Penguins pretty hate each other, but Sidney Crosby managed to look past that rivalry during the All-Star Game.
Before the start of the Atlantic and Metropolitan game, Crosby tossed a puck to an adorable Alex Ovechkin fan sitting in the front row.
Ovechkin, who was voted in as captain, is not playing in the game due to needing a break for the second half of the season.

The child was wearing an Ovi away jersey.
He was ecstatic about his new souvenir from Crosby.

The last time Ovechkin and Crosby played against each other, the Russian machine challenged the Penguins captain to a fight.
Despite Ovi not playing in the game, he has been there in spirit.

Update 1/27: Not to be outdone by Crosby, Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby and mascot Slapshot also gave Ovechkin’s fan, Luca, a couple of All-Star keepsakes. Holtby gave Luca a signed stick and Slapshot have him a stick with “All Caps” on the blade.
