Tiny fan dressed up as Alex Ovechkin offers to take Alex Ovechkin’s place at NHL All-Star Game

The 2019 NHL All-Star Game is right around the corner. The Capitals will be represented by Braden Holtby and John Carlson, but as Alex Ovechkin announced in early January, he will not be joining his teammates for the All-Star festivities, choosing to take the time to rest and recuperate.

But at practice on Monday, one smol fan offered to take Ovechkin’s spot in the games.

I’m sure Gary Bettman would never notice the difference.

The tiny fan’s sign reads “Hey Ovi, you deserve a day off, I will cover the ASG.”

But let’s take a closer look at Tiny Ovi. He’s fully decked out in a Capitals uniform, complete with gloves, and what looks like matching pants and socks. The fan even has a beard painted on his face.

Because of Devante Smith-Pelly’s stick, we can’t see his shoelaces, but I’m guessing they’re yellow.

This kid won practice today.
