The NHL and Adidas officially announced environmentally-conscious All-Star jerseys on Wednesday. The black and white sweaters, inspired by the color of ice and pucks, are created with Parley Ocean Plastic, materials made from upcycled marine plastic debris. According to the NHL, each jersey is crafted to be a symbol of change in the movement to protect the oceans.
Black Parley authentic Capitals jerseys landed in the NHL Shop for the first time on Friday.
The authentic Capitals black jersey is available for $199.99 in the NHL’s team store. According to the NHL Shop, the jersey ships on or before Wednesday, January 23.
The NHL Shop has also made the Capitals’ Parley jersey customizable. The cost is $269.99. If you’re interested in buying one, I’d suggest moving quickly. Two sizes have already sold out.
