During the second period, the Capitals were up 1-0 and were about to get a power play for a Patrice Bergeron trip.
But right before Bergeron was sent to the box, TJ Oshie was sent face first into the boards with a vicious hit from behind from Kevan Miller.
Oshie took hit in the corner and was a little slow to get up. Stayed on for the rest of his shift tho.

The hit occurs a few seconds after Oshie cycles the puck, and he goes down in a heap, laying on the ice for a few seconds before getting up.
Here’s another look.
Miller went unpenalized on the play… somehow.
Oshie would stay on the ice and continue playing while the Caps had a man advantage. He’d land a huge hit on Noel Acciari.
Once back at the bench, Oshie was sent down the tunnel for concussion testing at the advice of the athletic trainers. He was not pleased with that result and slammed his stick into the boards, breaking it. He then tossed it down the tunnel.
Fortunately, Oshie returned to the ice with roughly five minutes to play in the second period.
“I’ve been through that concussion protocol one more time than I’d like to,” Oshie said after the game. “When I felt fine, I was told I had to go. I understand it’s for the best but in the heat of the moment, you don’t want to leave the game. I went and did all the testing and aced it.”
Oshie has had five concussions in his career, including one earlier this season after a body slam from Josh Morrissey, and he missed 10 games because of it.
