Alex Ovechkin led the Washington Capitals to their first Stanley Cup in June. And now, some of Ovi’s game-used equipment from that historic Cup run is being made available in the NHL’s store.
But it’ll cost you a pretty penny.
Earlier this week, Fanatics, a partner of Ovechkin’s and the NHL’s official retailer, put up The Great 8’s CCM gloves, a pair of his iconic yellow-laced skates, his hockey pants, socks, and his Nike warmup shirt that feature his number 8 logo.
Each piece of game-used gear comes with an individually-numbered hologram from Fanatics Authentic and Certificate of Authenticity signed by Ovechkin.
These game-used skates were worn by Ovechkin during the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs where he scored 15 goals. The blades do not appear to be a part of the piece. Price: $6,999.99
Under those very skates, Ovechkin wears neon green Nike socks, which include a black pattern down the side. Price: $499.99
Three of Ovechkin’s CCM gloves, apparently all left-handed, are available featuring Ovechkin’s name in Russian and an eye stitched on the thumb. Price: $1999.99
Ovechkin’s navy blue CCM hockey pants include his draw string. Price: $2,499.99
Three of Ovechkin’s red undershirts are also available. The undershirts include Ovechkin’s iconic number eight shield designed by Nike. Price: $749.99
