The Hershey Bears will be holding their annual Teddy Bear Toss night on Sunday, December 2. Nathan Walker and his wife Tayla Walker went shopping for a bear to toss.
The one Nathan picked up at Costco is almost bigger than he is, and luckily, Tayla documented the shopping expedition in an Instagram story.
“Ready for Sunday’s teddy bear toss,” she writes, as 5’9″ Walker tries to walk while hugging a gigantic fluffy bear.
It “[j]ust gets better and better,” she writes in the next video, as she comes around a corner to find Walker in the dairy aisle, pushing the teddy bear in a grocery cart. Teddy was sitting in the kiddy seat, of course.
“What else are you going to do?” Walker asked.
In a reply to RMNB co-founder Ian Oland’s Instagram comment, Nathan Walker revealed he was only a foot and a half taller than the bear.

The CommunityAid & WGAL Teddy Bear Toss night is an annual tradition in Hershey. After the first Bears’ goal of the night, fans toss stuffed animals over the glass and onto the ice. The toys are then collected and donated to local charities and hospitals.
There were plenty of big bears on the ice last year too, and there are plenty of photos of the beautiful charitable hilarity here.

Philipp Grubauer, who has moved on to Colorado, tried to take a giant teddy bear to the locker room when he played for the Bears in 2014.
Last year, the Bears collected 25,017 bears, breaking their 2016 record of 20,662.
