Last June, the Washington Capitals did something no other Caps team had ever done before: they won the Stanley Cup. The championship energized the fan base, inspiring hundreds of thousands of people to come down to the National Mall for the Stanley Cup Parade.
That enthusiasm has continued into the new season as many Capitals fans found their Halloween costume to be a no-brainer this year. Fans were either the Stanley Cup, the Keeper of the Cup, or a tandem duo of Alex Ovechkin holding up a human version of the Stanley Cup.
