The Capitals are holding their annual Caps Casino Night. The evening includes a silent auction. All proceeds from ticket sales and auction items go to the Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation.
The silent auction is being run by Handbid. While the main event is being held at MGM National Harbor, items are also available online until 10pm Eastern Daylight Time.
Fans lined up early for the evening, which began at 6pm.

Two former Capitals donated autographed jerseys to the event. Jay Beagle donated a Canucks jersey, and Karl Alzner donated one from the Canadiens.
Other active hockey players who donated include David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins), Steven Stamkos (Tampa Bay Lightning), Sidney Crosby (the ugh Penguins), Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado Avalanche), Anze Kopitar (Los Angeles Kings), and a Vegas Golden Knights jersey signed by the entire team.

Former NHL players Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Gordie Howe also contributed.
On the non-hockey side of things, you can get jerseys autographed by the HC Barcelona team, Cal Ripken, Alex Smith, Della Dunn, Travis Wall, Wayne Rooney, and Max Scherzer.
If items aren’t your thing, you can also bid on “experiences,” like batting practice with the Nats, a dinosaur tour, or suite tickets to Justin Timberlake.
I was initially excited about the “Segways and Andres Package,” but it turns out it’s dinner at one of Jose Andres’s restaurants and a VIP Capitals Segway tour, not dinner with multiples of Andre. 🙁
Here are more of the items available for a short time only through Handbid Auctions:
