The Washington Capitals were at the DC United game

On Saturday, a group of Washington Capitals players attended a DC United game. With that Stanley Cup-winning energy in the house, United won a decisive 5-0 game against the Montreal Impact. The win was especially important since it brings United closer to the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.

The group included Travis Boyd, Tom Wilson, Jakub Vrana, Andre Burakovsky, Christian Djoos, Jonas Siegenthaler, and Some Dude.

The Capitals got a visit from the English Premier League Trophy earlier in the week. Rob Carlin posted on Twitter that Andre Burakovsky‘s favorite player was Wayne Rooney.

Rooney scored twice and had two assists during the game.

DC United tweeted back, saying Burakovsky should send them a DM.

Before the game, Andre Burakovsky chirped Christian Djoos on Instagram.

DC United was, of course, polite and restrained while celebrating their 5-0 victory over Montreal.

DC United players supported the Capitals during their playoff run, so it’s fitting that the Capitals are returning the favor.
