The Washington Capitals met Wayne Rooney after the DC United 5-0 win

After leading DC United to a 5-0 win over the Montreal Impact with two goals and two assists, Wayne Rooney met up with some of the Stanley Cup Champion winning Washington Capitals.

DC United had previously reached out to Andre Burakovsky through Twitter after he said that Rooney was his favorite player. Burakovsky, Jakub Vrana, and Jonas Siegenthaler posted pictures with Rooney to their Instagrams.

The other Capitals players present were Tom Wilson, Travis Boyd, Christian Djoos, and Some Dude.

Andre also asked Rooney how he was doing during the game via his Instagram story.
