The DC area has seen a lot of rain the past few weeks and it’s not stopping anytime soon. With rain in the forecast through Wednesday, the Capitals season ticket party at Six Flags America has been postponed.
In an email to STH’ers Sunday evening, the Capitals decided to postpone the event “out of consideration for the safety and comfort of our season ticket members, players and staff.” The event will be rescheduled for a later date, but it’s not known what the ramifications of that decision will be (ie: venue, inside/outside event, etc).

The email reads:
Due to the imminent inclement weather tomorrow and after careful deliberation with the management of Six Flags America and team officials, we have made the decision to postpone tomorrow’s Club Red 365 member party at Six Flags America. We are obviously disappointed to have to postpone the event but out of consideration for the safety and comfort of our season ticket members, players and staff we felt this was the best decision. We will make the announcement and communicate a new date once the details are confirmed.
This is the first time since 2015 that the party was being held outdoors. In 2016, the event was held at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum and last year it was held at Capital One Arena.
S/T to Crasher @HeyJulieAnn for the email.
