Friend of the blog, Miranda, went to the Capitals’ season ticket holder event Tuesday night. Her goal was to spend time with her friends and get a few jerseys signed.
But while she was in line waiting to meet her Capitals heroes, an idea struck. As she walked up to Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin, she asked the future Hall of Famer if he would put a special inscription on her jersey.
He obliged.
He wrote wats up babes on Miranda’s jersey, a play off his famous line at the Capitals’ Stanley Cup Rally.
But Miranda wasn’t done yet! In line to meet Evgeny Kuznetsov, she asked the Russian center to inscribe his famous line from the Capitals Stanley Cup Rally too.
So Kuzy wrote f*ck this sh*t on Miranda’s jersey – a number 25 Team Russia jersey from Kuzy’s World Junior days.
Miranda’s friend Monica also got a custom t-shirt signed of Nicklas Backstrom, which features an old Swedish magazine photo on the front.
Backstrom laughed with his teammates after signing it.
All in all, it seemed like a really fun night at Capital One Arena.
