Training Camp hasn’t started yet and two Caps players are already injured

Minutes before the Caps took the ice for Day One of 2018 Training Camp, the team’s senior writer, Mike Vogel, announced two minor injuries.

Capitals defenseman John Carlson and third-line center Lars Eller will not take the ice due to lower-body injuries. Meanwhile, Russian forward Sergei Shumakov is bogged down in the visa process.

According to NBC Sports Washington’s JJ Regan, the injuries are “nothing serious.”
