Make some space on your bookshelves, Caps fans. The NHL is publishing an officially licensed commemorative book to celebrate the Capitals Stanley Cup win, entitled “All Ours.”
The book will feature a foreword by captain Alex Ovechkin, as well as original essays by Nicklas Backstrom and former honor roll student Tom Wilson.
We’re serious.
Book Cover
You can pre-order the book from Fanatics for $44.99.
According to the cover, general manager Brian MacLellan, owner Ted Leonsis, and recently reacquired defenseman Brooks Orpik also contributed words to the book.
Sure, the photos will be cool and the book will be a coffee table keepsake forever, but this is a must-buy just to see how well your favorite hockey players can actually write.
9/9 update: The NHL has added a note to the description of the book saying that season ticket members will be receiving this as a gift.
The text reads, “Please note: Capitals Season Ticket Members will be receiving a copy of this book as part of their Season Ticket benefits.”
Capitals owner Ted Leonsis also mentioned on Twitter that a sneak peak of the foreword is going to be online soon.
