Chelyabinsk native Sergei Shumakov has wings just like Evgeny Kuznetsov

On Saturday, the Washington Capitals announced the signing of talented Russian forward Sergei Shumakov.

Just like Evgeny Kuznetsov, Shumakov is from Chelyabinsk and a former top-20 point-scorer in the KHL.

The former CSKA Moscow player also has wings like Kuzy, who is known for doing a birdman celebration. Shumakov’s eagle homage is just a bit more…literal.

Shumakov has a full eagle head tattooed on his upper arm.

He also has wings tattooed on his forearms.

✌🏻😬

The birdmen, Kuznetzov and Shumakov, are friends. The two played together in a tournament together over the summer at Chelyabinsk’s Sports Palace.

Right after his one-year deal was officially announced, Shumakov posted an Instagram photo with the caption “Go caps” and, of course, an eagle emoji.
